About the Author Michael Bleriot is a military and civilian pilot who spent several years flying counterdrug missions in Central and South America. He has over 4,000 hours flying both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, much of that time in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru.

Couldn't put it down By Dave Schlener Best flying stories since Ernie Gann's stuff.I grew up in tribal Amazon, served as an airborne ranger officer, flew the bush in Africa, and had a great career at American Airlines.....all of that to say that Mike Bleriot "gets it." He has captured everything from the emotions to the scenery to the personalities to the cultures. There is virtually no parallel to the kind of flying these guys did, considering the combination of terrain, weather, charting, etc.. Their world demanded a constant, unique mix of the low/no-tech of the '30's and the high-tech of today, and Bleriot brings that tension to life.Great flying adventure, and insightful characterization and plot development. I read this one, then read his other 3 books, all inside a week.

Ray Spitz Micheal and his fellow aircrew search Central and South America for the last few treasures from vision quest, including the mysterious Vilcabamba's Gold.This was a great ending and made for wonderful reading while I was down in Florida!
