The value of this short read is that you get what the contemporary scholar thought about Franco-Prussian war. A lot of concepts, such as federation of nations (or United Nations), abandon of war as a way to solve dispute, etc., are passionately argued in this book. All in all, old concepts stand, and the passion of human beings remains, while the ultimate goal still yet to achieve.
