Good Coverage of Rivers of Guatemala By Gadget Fan I ordered this book optimistically, but not expecting too much, since (at the time of this writing) there is no preview on Amazon, or anywhere else i could find. It turns out to be a very good coverage of the rivers of Guatemala.There are decent detailed maps of the country, good descriptions with precise information of different locations. For each location, after providing the basic statistics and a general description, it details things like descent history, flow notes, logistics,accommodations, and most are illustrated with color photos. 226 different locations are detailed, and then there are a number of sidebar-type feature stores.What I can't figure out is why the author doesn't provide more information about this well-done work. As of this writing there is no preview or detailed information on Amazon. I even emailed the author a while ago asking where this book might be available in Guatemala (for when I was visiting there, which I do from time to time) but got no reply. So I bought it sight unseen, and I was pleased, but also puzzled about lack of support for the book itself.

I just hope Greg Schwendinger (the author) does not run out of steam before publishing his promised books on the rivers of the rest of Central America...
