About the Author George Eliot was the pseudonym for Mary Anne Evans, one of the leading writers of the Victorian era, who published seven major novels and several translations during her career. A book for "Tweens" By Grant18 I didn't know George Eliot wrote children's books although you'd better either read it to your young children or not let them read it until they know the difference between good grammar & pronunciation & literary license. Nice little story though.
