About the Author
By age ten, Gail Howard had formed a “Life Plan” to travel the world. Not only would she seek adventure, romance, and riches, but she would discover her “true potential.” She spent her twenties and early thirties traveling, living, and working in over one hundred countries from 1957 to 1968.
After her world travels, Howard worked as a stock broker, then a commodity futures trader and licensed Commodities Trading Advisor. In 1982 she used her Wall Street skills to create Smart Luck lottery systems and strategies. To date, her lottery books and software have been credited with winning one hundred and seven lottery jackpots totaling $101,832,154.
Howard, an Authors Guild member, is the author of Lottery Master Guide, and five other lottery books available at www.smartluck.com and www.Amazon.com. Her lottery books are sold all over the world and have been translated into Spanish, French, German, Norwegian, Latvian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

By Starbreaker Gail Howard's "Born for Adventure" is written for those who wish to experience the world that had just opened up for the post-World War II generation of young Americans, the Boom Babies, who traveled and wished experience adventure and exotic locales. It's a bygone world of pristine South American rainforests and Indochinese jungles that have now been thoroughly chopped down and paved over by concrete. Annihilated by greedy developers to whom even an inch of soil not covered in concrete is an unforgivable sin. Where magnificently beautiful animals like jaguars, giant tortoises and macaws were abundant and roamed everywhere, before becoming endangered if not near-extinction like they are now. To a Millennial like me, it was shocking hearing abut jaguars and leopards being hunted like they were widespread pests and their skins being sold as casually as clothes or shoes would be sold in American malls. The book is both a fascinating and a sad read. Fascinating because of the scenes depicting native peoples, cultures and locales. And sad, knowing that those Peruvian and Brazilian lakes and rivers are polluted and full of sewage now. That the Polynesian islands are now best known for having the world's worst diabetes epidemics, and suffer from crime, drugs and unemployment. And the fact that some of the countries like Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador have long ceased to be tourist oases like they were during Gail Howard's time and have now become the epicenters of world's highest homicide rate, under the rule of narco-cartels. While other countries, in the more Islamic-leaning parts of the world, are now engulfed in wars and political crises and have long since abandoned pro-Western secularism. Although "Born for Adventure" is more a personal memoir, this book is an excellent documentation of the world that has long ceased to exist. In today's age of globalism, recession, mass pollution and ever encroaching land development and other ills, this book is a must-read for those who weren't as fortunate as Gail Howard to be able to experience Latin America and South Pacific when they were still unspoiled by modernity.

I loved Reading about your Wild Adventures!I wish that I would have been there with you! I love how you never Feared Death back then!You Traveled all over the World! I understand your Love for Music & Dancing as I too Love Music & Dancing too!I love your Name Zeina Amara! All of your Photos in the book are great too! I can not wait until they Make a movie about you next!This is A great Book on getting to Know you better! Too bad it Took you Fifty years Later to Write this Book!My Wife read the Book too! Gail did what few other women even dreamed possible during her travels and did what we would have loved to do back then & Now!She never gave up and when knocked down, got back up, adjusted her hair and heels and found another way to solve her problems.She really learned about character on this trip and had the luck to meet just the right people at the right time. One brave girl back then for sure.She went in and out of so many cultures with relative ease. She danced in the best Night Clubs, stayed in thefinest Hotels and ate at the best Restaurants.This was fifty years before Eat, Love, Pray.This is a great book to read with lots of WildAdventures. by Gail Fernandez!
